TV PRESENTER • CONFERENCE HOST
Juliet’s TV career began with a short internship at TV-am - a sneak peek behind the scenes of British breakfast telly where glamorous presenters held court in editorial meetings wearing dressing gowns and slippers, where the newsroom erupted in a frenzy for breaking news via land-line and where smart-phones and Googling-it hadn’t been invented yet.
Fast forward twenty-plus years and Juliet Mann is an experienced TV anchor, specialising in business news, having worked in fast-paced newsrooms around the world for CNBC, TRT World, CNN, Sky News, LBC Radio and Reuters.
She was the best MC I've ever used. Awesome! And a genuinely nice person to have around the event. Can't speak highly enough of her.
FIS Global Banking Perspectives Conference
fantastic. Really enjoyed working with her and the rushes look great.
She also comperes events and awards ceremonies and moderates discussion forums across Europe and the United States on a vast range of topics from entrepreneurship to sustainability.
On the road as anchor and correspondent for CNN’s weekly business features show Marketplace Europe, she interviewed CEOs like Sir James Dyson, political heavyweights and influencers including EU policymakers, and bosses of global brands like Nestle, L’Oreal, Geox & Lafarge.
Juliet currently presents new technology show, IOT: Powering the Digital Economy, for CNBC, the world's number one business and financial news network, looking at how “smart environments”- the merging of physical and virtual worlds - are disrupting different industries.
Recent projects include Retail Week Live, Barclays National Manufacturing Conference, the BOLD Conference in Creativity & Innovation in Vilnius and JLT Specialty’s Marine Conference on Data & Digitalisation in Shipping, in New York.
Excellent. Juliet did
a lot of homework and was
really on the ball on a complicated conference program. She combined wit, charm and knowledge in a very nice
package that suited the event perfectly.
I have never received so many compliments for a chair: how she complemented the speakers, asked intelligent and relevant questions, and never faltered in her professionalism and enthusiasm over the two days.
World Bio Markets Conference
Juliet has interviewed Archbishop Desmond Tutu for the BBC, presented for corporate channels including EY TV and HSBC TV, and written occasional travel & features pieces for the Daily Telegraph and Economia magazine.
As a roving reporter for Sky News, Juliet co-anchored coverage of the 2012 host city decision from Singapore, interviewing politicians, members of the Royal family and leading sports figures.
Also for Sky News, while specialising in aviation, she caused a cross-channel stir when she successfully smuggled two knives aboard a London-bound aircraft, and thrillingly had a seat on Concorde’s very last transatlantic flight.
Juliet was a delight to
work with. She took the time to understand and challenge our content and turned it into a story during the day – keeping our speakers, panellists and audience engaged. Juliet is an excellent facilitator and added incredible value to our event.
K3 Retail Conference
Earlier in her career, Juliet spent four years as Reuters TV’s Paris Correspondent, also reporting from Frankfurt and the New York Stock Exchange.
Juliet is British, read Politics at Bristol University and speaks good French.
The client was absolutely delighted with Juliet who made it a very enjoyable evening for all.
What can I say, Juliet was the glue that brought the conference to life. Juliet was superb, very professional, engaged with the audience and done her homework.
We encountered the nightmare scenario - a speaker dropped out at the last minute. Juliet took control and reworked the timing to ensure conference flowed smoothly.
